A closer look about this amazing exercise!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\"Rondos\" are the spanish word for one of the the most well known football exercises. Every coach, everywhere in the world, has\u00a0 proposed this exercise (with some variation) to his players.<\/p>\n<p>In the last years, mostly caused by the \"positional game\" from Guardiola teams and their huge success on controling possession, this exercise has been\u00a0highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>What at some distance may look just a funny game, reveals itself as a complete training situation with lots of \"transfer potential\" to the football game.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let\u00b4s take a deep look to the <strong><em>structures\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>that can be influenced by a <em><strong>Rondo<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Conditional (physical) structure:<\/strong> By varying the space, time and number of players we can work aerobic \/ anaerobic resistance, contact force,different displacements or velocity;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cognitive (tactical) structure:<\/strong> Information processing speed (ball, opponent, team position);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coordinate structure:<\/strong> Movement control (technique); anticipation; different rhythms (depending on the variants we use);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Socio-affective structure:<\/strong> Implication and affectivity between players;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Creative-expressive structure:<\/strong> Use of varied technical resources to solve situations;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Emotive-volitional structure:<\/strong>\u00a0Competitive capacity;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Barrero e Cabrera (2010)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This structures\u00a0manifest themselves all the time, even if the\u00a0coach is focused in only one or two of them.<\/p>\n<p>The following <em><strong>Rondos<\/strong><\/em> have the particularity of being supported by tactical concepts (offensive, defensive, transitions) that can lead to specific progression exercises.<\/p>\n<p>They are the foundations of any game concept based on building offensive actions through ball possession. Each time they play with this player it counts one point. When this happens, the outside players must do 10 squats as consequence.<br \/>\nWho gets the ball goes out and the player who\u00b4ve lost it goes to the middle.<\/p>\n<p>Rules: one touch by player.
