Full training session: Offensive Organization

To start, a quick question that all football coaches should have:
"How to create my periodization model?"
The first step is to clearly define the technical-tactical concepts of your team - the principles of your game model.
In this offensive organization session, we are focusing on the specific principle of "playing through the middle". Our goal is to improve our team`s actions in the central corridor, particularly in the connection between the defensive/midfield lines and the midfield/attacking lines.
In this way, we have created3 progressive exercises, from the the warm-up to the main exercises.
In this session, we focus on the utilization of vertical-passes, wall-passes and direct/indirect combinations.
This will help us strengthen our internal game by "attracting the opponent inside to create space outside", a concept that supports our game system: 1-4-3-3.
EXERCISE 1 - PASSING DINAMICS

Description: 1. Passing dinamics (wall pass/find the 3rd man); 2: Find the perfect time/run moment - player must receive the ball on progression and not on the mark

Duration: 2x4 min

Players: 9

EXERCISE 2 - CONNECTING THROUGH THE MIDDLE

Description:  SSG 3v3 (+3) where each team has two goals to attack and two goals to defend. The team in possession has numerical advantage and can use the front outside joker to progress and find space to score. This player should not use more than two touches.

Each period, a new team in support.
CP: play inside to find space outside (small goals)

Duration: 6x2 min

Players: 9

EXERCISE 3 - INTER-SECTORIAL 10v10 + GK

Description: Inter-sectorial connection: the game is played in two separeted areas that players cannot overcome. The defenders play against the attackers on both sides. The team in possession must connect the game through the middle on the first stage and only after that connect to the wingers that are outside. When this occurs, the winger of the opposite side must came inside to become one more reference for the cross.
CP: Good positional game; wall passes; oriented ball control; use the jokers to create crossing situations
Rules: max 3 touches

Duration: 2x8 min

Players: 18 + 2 GK
